IMPORTANT TIPS FOR FACULTY AND STUDENT CLASSROOM USE
All classroom and lab computers have been updated to the Windows 7 operating systems and Microsoft Office 2010.
1.0 When an instructor logs into a Classroom Instructor Computer, use the form below:
Example: Instructor Jane Doe will type “administration\doe_j” in the Username field.
Your password is unchanged.
No pull-down domain field will be visible as was the case in Windows XP logon.

2.0 Students will login with the A-number as noted below. The default logon should work normally in the classroom.
3.0 If the student attempts to logon, and gets a message “X“– The username or password is incorrect”, please ask the student to use the “instruction\A12345678” format for username as noted below.
A quick overview of navigating Windows 7 will help in the XP to Windows 7 transition. When you have a moment, please review the video in this link to see Windows 7 desktop information and tips… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl4xuxMaSyE
Transitioning to Office 2010 should not be difficult; while the look is a bit different, it is very similar to Office 2007. If you want a preview of Office 2010 Word, click this link…Office 2010 Information
STUDENTS:
YOU MAY USE YOUR NSCC STUDENT E MAIL ADDRESS AS YOUR USERNAME/ ID LOGON INTO WINDOWS 7.
You may use your NSCC Student email address as your User Name when logging on to campus computers.
If you use wish to use your “A” number when logging on to campus computers, prefix it with “instruction\” and your “A” number. Please Note: (backslash is “\”, do not use a forward slash” /”)
Examples: “instruction\A12345678”, OR “jsmith1@my.nscc.edu” format for username.
Passwords
NSCC logons still have two passwords. Just remember this …
Your myNSCC web password is only for the myNSCC web portal, everything else that requires a logon uses your six digit PIN.
